Jeannine DuChateau

Facility and Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

Jeannine Du Chateau has more than 15 years of experience as a Senior Manager in enterprise-wide EHS governance, facilities operations, and risk management across multinational, highly regulated environments. She focuses on connecting Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality strategies with broader organizational goals while maintaining operational responsibility and regulatory compliance. Over the course of her career, she has led international teams, managed complex sites, and supervised high-risk operations across industries, including manufacturing, food production, energy, chemicals, and medical devices.

Her professional experience includes improving and maintaining ISO Management Systems while coordinating operational support activities across multiple industries. These include both light and heavy manufacturing environments such as PCB and electronics production, automotive operations, chemical manufacturing, plastics processing, and beverage production. Jeannine worked closely with site departments, including manufacturing shop floors, operations teams, engineering divisions, supply chain groups, procurement departments, warehousing teams, and maintenance functions. Through these collaborations, she helped organizations achieve measurable results in cost control, energy management, and sustainability.

Professional Highlights

She led the audit team responsible for evaluating Emergency Preparedness and Response plans related to the Deepwater Horizon explosion. While working remotely from the BP Houston, Texas, location, she monitored remaining oil rig piping and underwater systems that were part of the operation. In connection with the same project at the BP training facility in Mobile, Alabama, she audited emergency response documentation. She observed the preparation of fishermen’s vessels equipped to assist in cleaning up raw crude oil from the former Deepwater rig area.

Du Chateau's experience also extended into the mining industry. She conducted training programs at several FCX and Rio Tinto mining locations operating within the United States and internationally. These training sessions included sites in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa, as well as other global locations, where she participated in multiple environmental and safety training initiatives.

In addition to this work, she audited NASA facilities at Cape Canaveral, Florida, and Houston, Texas, for compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. She also led and implemented certification processes that helped sites in Florida and California achieve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. She supported ISO 14001 certification for multiple Rockwell facilities across the United States and Mexico, encompassing 50 sites within Motion Control operations.

Jeannine also conducted audits at several Food and Beverage production sites located across multiple Coca-Cola facilities within the United States.


Professional Background: Strategic Leadership

Her Role at LRQA

She currently serves as Global Account Manager and Lead Auditor for LRQA, a London-based assurance and risk management organization that provides certification, inspection, and advisory services to many Fortune 500 companies worldwide. In this role, she directs EHS, quality, and risk management services across multinational client accounts. Her work involves aligning regulatory compliance requirements with operational performance and governance strategies. She reports to the Vice President of Sales for North America and works with cross-functional teams that include both internal professionals and client members.

Over the past four years, Jeannine Du Chateau has managed a portfolio of 20 multinational enterprise accounts across industries such as Automotive, PCB and SMT Manufacturing, Chemical Production, Heavy Manufacturing, and Energy. Through this work, she helped deliver integrated management system certification and compliance solutions on a global scale.

Her efforts contributed to improvements in organizational revenue performance, supporting 26 percent revenue growth and 30 percent sales growth through strategic account expansion, cross-selling opportunities, and service diversification. She also assisted client organizations with regulatory alignment and operational performance through consultative guidance on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SQF, and FSSC 2200 standards, as well as the development of cybersecurity and ESG certification frameworks.

Du Chateau also worked with executive leadership teams, supported new product development initiatives, and coordinated with accreditation bodies to manage certification processes, audit remediation, suspension recovery, and compliance continuity. She also helped expand the visibility of LRQA OCS Europe and Blue accreditation programs.

She previously worked with the same organization from 2017 to 2020 as Senior QEHS and Sustainability Customer Manager and Lead Auditor before returning in 2022 to continue her work in the current role.

Her Work at Thales Avionics

For two years, she worked as a Senior Maintenance, Facilities, QEHS, and Security Manager at Thales Avionics, a company operating in the aerospace, defense, and digital technology sectors. In this position, she oversaw QEHS governance across multiple regulated manufacturing and airport-based environments. Reporting to the Director of Operations and coordinating with site Plant Managers, she supervised cross-functional teams, managed a $300,000 operational budget, and supported operational continuity and regulatory compliance across six locations in the United States.

Her responsibilities included directing environmental health and safety programs, overseeing facilities operations, managing site security functions, and supporting sustainability initiatives. Jeannine Du Chateau also led training programs for EHS professionals within the business unit and personally recruited key team members to strengthen expertise at the site level.

She managed incident investigations, implemented corrective and preventive actions, developed performance indicators, and prepared reports for executive leadership. She also incorporated Kaizen principles into construction and expansion projects, improving safety and security procedures by 25 percent. In addition, she coordinated regulatory inspections and ISO audits, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and AS9100. She also managed aviation compliance submissions and implemented enterprise-wide COVID-19 safety procedures to protect employees while maintaining continuous operations.

Earlier in her career, Du Chateau spent eight years as a Global Key Customer Project Manager for Det Norske Veritas in Norway, an organization focused on risk management and assurance services operating in more than 100 countries. In that role, she directed global EHS and quality governance activities for complex enterprises while advising leadership teams on regulatory exposure, crisis response planning, and compliance strategies. She reported to the Vice President of North American Operations and supervised six-member auditor teams.

Before that role, she served as Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager at General Dynamics in Tallahassee, Florida. In that position, she directed QEHS governance and regulatory strategies across advanced manufacturing operations while supporting proactive risk management and environmental responsibility within aerospace and defense manufacturing systems.

Professional Recognition

During her career, Jeannine received several awards, including the Crystal Award for Environmental Excellence on multiple occasions, the Governor’s Hazardous Waste Reduction Award, and the Values in Action Award for Customer Service.

Professional Affiliations

She remains active in professional organizations connected to environmental management, safety, and quality improvement. These include the Orlando Chapter of the American Society for Quality, the Technical Advisory Group responsible for updates to ISO 14001, the Technical Advisory Group supporting OCS Blue’s transition to an ISO standard, the Local Emergency Planning Commission, and the Technical Advisory Group of the International Organization for Standardization.

Education

Du Chateau earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. She later continued graduate studies in Corporate Finance at Capella University.

She also holds multiple professional certifications, including First Aid, CPR, and AED, as well as an Emergency Response certification from the State of Florida Local Emergency Planning Commission. She is also certified by Exemplar Global as a Lead Environmental Auditor, Lead Health and Safety Auditor, and Lead Quality Auditor.

A Life of Giving Back

She maintains an active role in community service and volunteer work. Her activities include volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and supporting patients recovering from hip and knee surgeries at Viera Hospital. Jeannine also served as a United Way representative while working with Rockwell, General Dynamics, and Thales.

She also supported several American Cancer Society events for 10 years, including the Cattle Baron’s Ball, Light up the Night Races, and Relay for Life. She volunteered and contributed to the Alzheimer Society of Miami’s annual galas held in Palm Beach and Wellington, Florida, and supported church Christmas drives that helped families in Clewiston, Florida.

She is the mother of two children and participates in their activities by coaching flag football and serving as a dugout parent in several youth leagues. Through both her professional leadership and community service, Jeannine Du Chateau continues to support responsible governance, safety leadership, and meaningful engagement within the communities she serves.
